The interest of a state or nation to achieve its goals and objectives may be economic, social, or political.

Natural intrust is a core value of a state. And state never compromises. For example, As a state have benefited from the next state so they make good relation with them that is national interest.

How to achieve national interest

The state never archives national interest directly it works on by setting up objectives through the foreign policy of nest state to archive national intrust.

Let’s say state A has a national interest in state B, it's of economic, social or political or any kind. So state A has to achieve the objective to full fill the state B foreign policy to take national interest.

Primary interest

A primary interest is no compromise over territory, nationalism, sovereignty.

Secondary interest

A secondary interest is to address the demand of people. As the lifestyle or quality given to people is the priority.

Permanent interest

Permanent interest is an ideological basis. As in the 20^th century, the western ideological basis was to promote capitalism at any cost, Or for Russian ideological basis was to promote communism.

Diplomacy:

Diplomacy is a subset of international relations that is typically focused more narrowly around the process of conducting negotiations between representatives of different nations or, in some cases, corporations from different countries. as the US make good relation with Pakistan for the national interest. As interest is full fill or they archive goals the relation between these countries have become worst.

Alliance:

alliance, in international relations, a formal agreement between two or more states for mutual support in case of war. Alliances arise from states' attempts to maintain a balance of power with each other. As we say national interest Is a thing which makes good relation between two countries or states.

Can national interest be compromised:

As Morgenthau said, “national interest can not be compromised but compromise can be over the objectives of national interest”.

As America said I remove all the Taliban after the 9/11 incident. As for some national intrust or for some objectives they can not be able to do that. But they still have a mission to destroy the Taliban. So compromised is sometimes objective of national interest but national intrust can not be compromised.
